The Echo Show 5 connects to Alexa to offer a variety of functionality based around the 5.5" touchscreen and onboard speaker. See on-screen lyrics with Amazon Music, set alarms and timers, catch up on news highlights and movie trailers, check weather and traffic, and more.

The compact 5.8 x 3.4 x 2.9" size of the Echo Show 5 lets you add entertainment to nearly any room.

The Echo Show 5 allows you to make video calls to friends and family who have the Alexa app, another screen-equipped Echo device, or Skype. You can also instantly connect to other compatible Echo devices in your home to make a quick announcement.

Multiple privacy layers are onboard. For example, your voice is streamed to the cloud only after your device detects the wake word ("Alexa"). You can also turn the microphone and camera off with the press of a button, and the built-in shutter lets you physically cover the camera.

With the Echo Show 5 and Alexa, you can manage compatible smart home devices on the interactive display or with your voice. Control lights and switches, set thermostats, view security cameras, and more.

Use the ambient sunrise lighting feature to help you get your day started right. You can also choose from several clock face designs, select your favorite photo to be the home screen, and create morning routines to start your day.

With the Echo Show 5, you can enable Alexa captioning and closed captioning, magnify the screen, toggle color inversion, and choose between color correction options.
